Kayak Club Field Trip
Friday, February 09, 2018, 09:15am - 02:15pm
HILLSBOROUGH RIVER FROM SARGEANT PARK TO MORRIS BRIDGE PARK

Friday, February 9th.

Meet at the main clubhouse parking lot, east side of the clubhouse by the golf cart parking lot at 9:15 AM, and plan on leaving at 9:30 AM.

This is a short, 4 1/2 mile, 2 to 3 hour max paddle trip with the current. The river flows out of the Hillsborough River State Park, and then just sort of meanders down to Tampa Bay. This section is relatively untouched, and there have been reports of deer, gators, wild pigs, and of course turtles and birds along the way. There is normally a mild current to help push you along.
