The Lake Ashton Veterans Association (LAVA) will hold a ceremony and picnic honoring Memorial Day on Monday, May 30. There will be an outdoor ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at 10:30 a.m., with a program inside the Ballroom at 11:30 a.m. There will be a lunch at noon. Tickets are $10 each ($5.99 for children 12 and under) and go on sale April 27. There is a choice of chicken or pulled pork with sides (baked beans, coleslaw and potato chips) prepared by Fire. Iced tea, lemonade and water are included. There will be a cash bar. Purchase your tickets until May 25 - there will be no sales at the door.
