The Lake Ashton Black Heritage Club is very excited to host Lake Ashton’s very first Juneteenth Celebration on June 21, 2024! Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day, is an American holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It serves as a day of reflection, remembrance, and celebration of African American culture and history, as well as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for racial equality and justice. You won’t want to miss this celebration of freedom, prosperity and unity as we come together and enjoy exquisite soul food, great music and speakers who will shine a light on African American history, culture, and perseverance.
