Competitive Tiddlywinks
Thursday, November 17, 2016, 10:00am - 11:00am
Come to the Clubhouse Game Room Thursday, November 17 at 10 a.m. for a demonstration and introduction to Competitive Tiddlywinks! Come hear how the game is played, get a chance to flip some winks and learn about possible future game opportunities.
Carl and Linda Boast started playing in the late 1960s against teams from MIT, Cornell, Case Western Reserve, University of Toronto and others under the auspices of the North American Tiddlywinks Association. NATWA recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The game is not just about flipping "winks" into the pot, but involves strategy and various shot techniques including "squopping" or covering an opponents' wink. Typically played with two opposing pairs, scoring is complex.
