The Lake Ashton Veterans Association will be presenting“Remembering and Saluting Hometown Heroes,” with aspecial recognition of female veterans on Memorial Day,Monday, May 28. There will be an outdoor ceremony at 10a.m. at the Veterans Memorial, followed by an indoorceremony at 11 in the Clubhouse Ballroom. This year, therewill be a special recognition of the many Lake Ashton femaleveterans who unselfishly answered the call of their country.

The ceremonies will be followed by a Memorial Day BarbecueLunch consisting of pulled pork, chicken, potato salad andbaked beans along with sweet and unsweet tea. Tickets for thelunch will be $13 and can be either purchased at MondayCoffee or either Activities Desk. Make checks payable toLAVA. Tickets must be purchased by May 23, so get themearly!
