Starting May 22, view a photography exhibit by Tom Scali. Meet and greet the artist on May 30 at 2 p.m. when he will introduce his work and himself during a casual exhibit talk at the gallery. His exhibit will be on display until June 26. 

Tom became interested in photography in his teenage years. His first good camera was a Canon AE1; it was film and he seldom got the clear pictures that I dreamed of. After going digital in the early 1990s and getting serious about photography around 2004, he joined a camera club in Wellington and started to see improvements in his pictures. He upgraded to a Nikon 7000 and then to a Nikon 750 in 2015. He likes challenges in photography; that’s why he enjoys birds in flight or wild animals. He has been fortunate enough to travel to much of Europe, South Africa and the USA. He is still working on improving his skills especially in photo editing. His pictures will focus on wildlife in both Florida and South Africa. He and his wife Nancy have been Lake Ashton residents since 2006.
