This is an invitation for all of Lake Ashton residents and guests to join in the Lake Ashton Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, October 13th. at 8:30 AM. The HFC will be the start up point and the finish line as well. Walkers will walk down to the Hwy. 653 Gate and back to a continental style breakfast of pastries, fruit, health bars, coffee, water, and juices (after a couple of photos are snapped for the LA Times.) All walkers are encouraged to wear pink, but it’s not required. Area stores are getting into awareness mode and there are several pink hats, tees, etc. available. The entire month of October is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the HFC with prizes awarded at the end of the month for the three persons wearing pink the most days during October to the fitness classes.

An honorary/memorial wall will also be on display during October, featuring our Lake Ashton residents who currently have a breast cancer diagnosis, have passed from it or have conquered it. Please come and get a star to enhance our awareness the first week in October before the Walk. Honorees or a family representative are invited to lead the Walk. A fresh rose will be given to each if they have a star on the Awareness Wall inside the HFC.
