Astronomy Night — Space Weather — Earth Weather
Friday, July 19, 2019, 07:30pm - 09:30pm
When you hear weather reports, you know what to expect locally over the next few days. When you hear climate reports, you hear how man is contributing to climate change, but rarely hear how much nature itself contributes to climate change. One thing you might not hear about is how space weather affects both. So, what is space weather, and how does it affect weather, climate, and more? The president of the Imperial Polk Astronomical Society, Cleve, will be leading the discussion on July 19 at 7:30 p.m. Telescope viewing will follow the presentation, weather permitting. The pool will close at 8:30 pm to accommodate the viewing.
