Kraft Azalea Gardens Kayak Trip

KAYAK CLUB PADDLE TRIP
Tuesday, February 18th.
Paddle through the Venetian Canal to the Azalea gardens and back in Winter Park.
Meet at the clubhouse parking lot, east side where the golf carts are parked at 8:30 AM, and we will leave as soon as everyone is there.
Trip Info: Launch at Dinky Dock County Park in Winter Park, 410 Ollie Avenue, paddle a short distance along the shore of Lake Virginia into a small canal that leads into Lake Osceola, then through the Venetian Canal, a very picturesque canal leading into Lake Maitland, then along the shore till we reach the take out point at the Kraft Azalea Gardens, where we will get out and take time to smell the roses, ur, azaleas.
The total distance each way is less than a mile and a half, an easy paddle.
After exploring the gardens we will paddle back the same way.
Skill Level - Novice to intermediate
Bathrooms - At the launch and at the Azalea Gardens
Lunch - pack a lunch to eat at Dinky Dock Park after the paddle, or there are many restaurants in Winter Park - your choice
Fees - None - except rental charges

Single/$35.00 Tandem/$45.00 Identify yourself as a member of the Lake Ashton club, and tell him we expect to launch about 10:00/10:15
He takes credit cards at the launch site. We should be back at the launch site in about three hours.
As usual, guests are welcome, and please remember to check your email the morning of the trip for any changes or cancellations.
