The Lake Ashton Amateur Radio Club is conducting an exam preparation class for the Technician Level License.

The class will be given once a week for six weeks starting 8 September from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the HFC. After completion of the classes, the amateur radio club will schedule a test session administered by local American Radio Relay League (ARRL) volunteers for all three levels of amateur licenses (Technician, General, and Advanced).

Upon successful completion of the written multiple-choice questions (35 for Technician), the students will receive a renewable 10-year license and be authorized transmission privileges on specific radio frequency bands. This will be your “gateway” to amateur radio, and you will be able to participate in disaster communications and other radio activities if desired.
