Sew Days for Quilt of Valor

Sew Days for Quilt of Valor - July 25 from 9am to noon in the HFC Craft Room

We will be working on panel quilts using the stars we made at the last sew day. I will be providing thread, fabric, basic patterns and any instruction if needed. All you need is to do, bring your excitement, sewing machine and scissors.

Don’t sew, we need people to help as a greeter, ironing and fabric cutters (I will show you how).

Please register below if you are coming and the role you would like to do.

Please contact me to let me know if you are coming and the role you would like to play by text, email, phone, or messenger. You are more than welcome to come and go as you wish.

If you cannot attend and want to help, I can share a kit with you to work on a quilt wherever, whenever you wish.

Governance

The governance of Lake Ashton is shared by a Community Development District (CDD) and a Homeowners Association (HOA). The CDD owns and is responsible for the amenities and roads. The HOA owns no property and is responsible for the Covenants and Architectural Guidelines which govern the use of homeowner’s property.

Since Lake Ashton straddles two cities, there is a CDD and HOA for Lake Wales (sometimes referred to as ‘East’) and a CDD and HOA for Winter Haven (sometimes referred to as ‘West’ or Lake Ashton II). In addition, the Palms of Ashton Condominium Association exists within Lake Wales section of Lake Ashton, resulting in five distinct governing boards within what is collectively called "Lake Ashton."

   What is a CDD?

   Lake Ashton CDD (Lake Wales)

Lake Ashton II CDD (Winter Haven)

Lake Ashton Homeowners Association (Lake Wales)

Lake Ashton II Homeowners Association (Winter Haven)
